3D Modeling and Design
1. Click the the Google Turn-in document and select File, then "Make a copy"
2. Watch the tutorial video for tips.
Hold right click to rotate the camera.
Skip ahead to about 7:30 for the tutorial.
2. Go to SculptGL and make 3 models, something abstract, some kind of head, and some kind of animal.
3. HOW TO SAVE
Click on "Files (import/export)"
Click on Save .sgl or .obj
4. HOW TO IMPORT your saved work
Click on "Files (import/export)"
Click on Add (obj, sgl, etc.)
Find the file in your google drive
and continue work!
5. Take screenshots of each of your creations by pressing CTRL + Window key and paste them into the turn in document with CTRL + V
6. Turn it in on Canvas!
Rubric for 3D Models
4 Advanced.
3D Models have a high level of detail from all angles including things like fingers, toes, teeth, nostrils, ears, horns, lips, a tongue, skin texture etc. The 3D models have bilateral symmetry, but also some non symmetrical details.
3 Proficient.
3D Models have a moderate level of detail from all angles with distinct appendages (legs/arms/wings), and a head with features (eyes and mouth), or looks like a specific living creature with symmetry. Finished all 3
2 Approaching.
3D Models vaguely resemble something living. Sort of has limbs and a head, but not much detail. Did not finish all 3
1 Emerging.
3D Models look like a sphere, a happy face, or a messy jumble of polygons. Did not finish all 3.
